Christopher Van Atten
Chris has more than two decades of environmental and energy consulting experience at ERM, M.J. Bradley & Associates, and Abt Associates. His work has focused on climate change strategy, greenhouse gas inventory and target setting, market-based trading systems, air pollution regulatory analysis, and energy sector modeling.
In recent years, Chris has led the development of numerous TCFD-aligned climate reports, including scenario analysis. He has worked with clients to prepare climate risk assessments, greenhouse gas inventories, and decarbonization strategies. Chris has led the development of the emissions benchmarking report, which profiles the environmental performance of the 100-largest electric generating companies in the U.S. Chris worked on the development of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and other market-based trading programs. Chris has worked with a range of clients including government, NGOs, and private-sector companies.
Chris has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Clark University where he taught a graduate course on U.S. Pollution Policy.
