Wanjiku Githinji

Wanjiku has over 16 years of international experience in the management of E&S risks and impacts for private and public sector clients in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Wanjiku has led numerous E&S Due Diligence (ESDD) and E&S monitoring assignments for Private Equity and Development Finance Institutions ranging from $20 million – $900 million in size. She has advised numerous clients on projects that have low E&S capacity during the E&S monitoring phase to manage E&S risks; and supported them in developing corrective action plans to bring projects to compliance with national legislation, as well as the IFC and MIGA Performance Standards. In addition, she has been involved in several ex-post project evaluations of investment projects to assess development outcomes, understand results drivers, and draw lessons learned.

She has experience with investment projects in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, health, tourism and downstream oil and gas sectors.
